We recently had the pleasure of Boyd
Coddington visiting our shop...
Boyd has been a
mentor to PT Bob at an early age to create custom autos.
Boyd explained a
special "Best STREET ROD WOODY" project and where we could help.
The Sketch let us understand the desired look but
we needed to see the car.
Alex and Bob went with Boyd
to the "Coddington Garage" home of auto art.
Boyd rolled out this
metal masterpiece on wheels
We also met with Nick, the owner to further
know his woody placement wishes.
This is the ROD as we received it. Boyd
had his paint dept. add a primer coat to help us.
This ROD is to be the best Streetrod WOODY ever
built in the Auto industry.
Here is how the Passenger Wood looked with final
Glue-up and shaping done.
This shot captures the awesome Suicide doors and
how the wood fills the gaps.
Here is a photo just before pick-up. The
attention to detail raises the bar again.
Mix sheet metal, raw lumber and the best hands in
the world and this is what you get !
