We have just finished all the art as the owner
wanted...He has now named it "DRAGON's LAIR"
The wizard is trying to puncture all dragon eggs
without being caught by the dragons.
Castles, Clouds, and flying dragons make up the
rear hatch art. Note this hatch was fully shaved out!
Bob created a moving snake skin look by using
Passion purple and his favorite Ghost chrome paint.
We wanted to have the original color of the HHR
throughout the art. Once we clear this it will really come alive.
There are many small details that you will not
see as it passes by. We wanted this art to stop passing viewers.
This is a lot of details and a mix of paint
effects to get this look.
The closer you look, the more details start to
stand out.
We create dthis art in a layered process. Stones
in front, Eggs behind, then the dragon behind the egg...etc.
We also used a mix of effects paints to give a
moving appearance to all the art.
Again we use the oem color to keep a nice balance
to the highlights and art details.
Each scale on the Albino Dragon was painted one
by one to achieve the realistic details above.
Some art is close-up and other art is off in the
distance.
Correct shadowing was used to give a 3-D
appearance all the way around this HHR.
We will next be clearing all the art. Once we
clear it, the dark colors will get darker and the effects will pop out!
